Excellent, what a remarkable and inspirational story from Hugo; an ordinary guy who has helped so many people (esp. children) and has achieved extraordinary things. I can identify with Mike’s sentiments toward the end of the show where many of us lead successful, but somewhat shallow or unfulfilling lives.
My own life has some parallel with Mike’s following a successful I.T. career, with a relative lack of fulfilment. Similarly to Hugo in my mid 20’s I headed overseas in search of adventure, although unlike Hugo it did not lead to any such noble accomplishment. Instead I met a UK girl had 2 kids (my oldest a similar age to Hugo’s I think), and have spent the last few years oscillating between Australia and the UK, trying to work out how the bring more meaning into my day-to-day life and still be able to pay the bills.
Great work Dave / Mike on the podcast…keep the inspiration happening.

TPN Cam put me, a fellow wheelie with a meager 9 years experience, onto your podcast. I love it! “Blocked Catheter” says it all! I love the segments, great outlook on life. And as for Hugo, well his story rang soooo many bells (in particular John Doyle’s 2003 2 pt ABC TV movie “Marking Time” ’bout a liaison between a young country boy and an Afghani refugee), what an amazing guy! Thanks guys, more power to you.

[…] Mike, my mate, brother in munge and podcast co-host is in Sydney at the Unlimited Potential conference where Hugo is who is also a mate and was the first guest on said podcast. Hugo leant me a Tablet to review after hooking up with him on a podcast on TPN, a hookup which Mike is going to play the audio of upconf2007. I see Mike is thinking of a UMPC which reminds me. Hugo, isn’t it time a UMPC got a Lifekludger going-over? […]
